Academy Terms of Service

Last Revised: June 20, 2026 | Governing all enrolled cohorts and campuses

1. Admission and Enrollment

CheckMatrix Chess Academy provides premium chess coaching syllabus series for children, students, tournament seekers, and professional masters. By enrolling (either via dynamic booking widgets, on-site admissions, or virtual trial channels), the student or guardian agrees to remain bound by the terms outlined in this document.

We reserve complete administrative right to screen candidates beforehand through complimentary tactical assessments to verify proper program placement (Beginners Class, Tactics Training, or Advanced Competitive Program).

2. Conduct and Decorum (Code of Honor)

The game of chess is fundamentally a contest of character, strategic patience, and focus. CheckMatrix expects a high standard of honor, sportsmanship, and behavior from everyone:

  • On-Campus Behavior: Complete respect towards grandmaster mentors, educators, and peers. Destructive actions, aggressive disruption, or physical property mischief inside Magadi Road or Whitefield campuses will trigger immediate semester suspension.
  • Fair Play Framework: Students in competitive programs must adhere to zero-tolerance policies regarding computer assistance or software engine cheating (e.g., Stockfish, Lc0) during digital matches, simulations, and homework review sessions.

3. Tuition Fee, Rates & Billing Cycle

All regular program tuitions are structured on a persistent monthly billing architecture. Rates are expressed in INR (Indian Rupees) reflecting our central operations based primarily out of Bangalore, India:

Beginners ₹4,500/month
Tactics Training ₹6,500/month
Advanced Competitors ₹8,500/month

Payments are processed at the launch of each month's cohort. Failure to clear invoices by the 5th day of a calendar month will cause lockouts from both physical lecture access and virtual classroom channels.

4. Cancellation and Absence Policies

A consistent attendance schedule is vital to maintaining structured focus.

  • Program Withdrawals: Parents or sponsors must supply a written notice to the Registrar Office at least 15 days before the succeeding billing cycle to end further tuition processing.
  • Absence Credit Rules: Unnotified student absences represent lost teaching capacity and will not generate makeup hours or partial refunds. Prior notice submitted 24 hours in advance allows our coordinators to schedule alternative slots when available.

5. Intellectual Board Capital

All curriculum slide files, chess coordinates puzzles, proprietary endgame engines, game analytical sheets, and video session tutorials remain structural assets of CheckMatrix Chess Academy. Any duplication, commercial distribution, or reselling of these materials globally is strictly forbidden.

6. Local Legal Protections

These terms of service are interpreted under local laws of Karnataka and national rules. Any unresolved disputations or legal claims will fall strictly under Bangalore jurisdiction.
